CVIIC: Collaborative Refugee and Immigrant Information Center
The Collaborative Refugee and Immigrant Information Center, under the direction of the Center for Cultural Dynamics, was a regional referral and information database intended to assist people working with refugees and immigrants in the Rocky Mountain region. An online website was created in conjunction with the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) at the University of Denver (DU), for refugee mental health and human rights.

This web site evolved from the earlier CRIIC program, allowing the information formerly limited to one computer to be accessible through the internet.

Layout Design: The layout was done as a part of my friend’s study work for the Collaborative Refugee and Immigrant Information Center. The layout provides solution to the previously rigid navigation structure and information display. This included sorting out information into main links and sub links and their internal navigation. Users get directed to CRIIC through pages of DU and GSIS, hence all the pages of CRIIC are provided with direct links to get back to respective directing pages.

The pages have very simple layout structure for target audience: service providers, students, faculty, and founders. Limited graphics makes the site quickly download. Content structure helps find information with quick links.
